Your Datespace is unique to you. Every Datespace will become more exciting as you add your own personal touches to make it stand out.

Simply register with WJMJ, which could not be simpler. Choose a username and a password, answer a handful of essential questions and we will then send you a confirmation E-mail. Once you click through from your personal E-mail message you have verified your account and you have a Datespace.
Once you login to your Datespace, you will immediately be overwhelmed with the need to decorate it. Remember we didn’t ask you many questions en route, so as your Datespace is now visible to other users you best get customising.
topWhat do I write in my datespace?
We already know certain personal details that made up your registration this will appear in the box next to your photograph. We know your sex, your height and your sexuality. We know nothing else, so come on get writing.
topWhat ‘About me’?
This is where you can really go to town, you can write as little or as much as you want. Your box will stretch out the more you write so don’t worry about filling it. Here are a few things you might want to mention, in case you get stuck.

Adding photos to your datespace
Adding a photograph is dead simple, probably easier than choosing the photo itself.
- Simply click on ‘UPLOAD PHOTO’, you will automatically open a browser from which you can upload images saved in your computer.
- Double click the icon or highlight the file and click choose. The image will then begin to upload to your Datespace.
- You can upload up to 10 images to your Datespace
What sort of photo should I upload?
Think about what sort of photographs you would like to see on other members Datespaces, and then apply that to your own.
- Make sure the photo is a recent. A photo of you as a young teen may mislead potential suitors if in fact you are now 35.
- Ideally at least one of your pics should be a full length shot of yourself, big is beautiful and others prefer skin and bones. If you get on a date and your were expecting Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jarvis Cocker turns up you might not be pleased.
- Clear, colour photos are the way forward, save the arty photos for your background or other photos.
- NO NUDITY PLEASE this isn’t that sort of website. If that’s the sort of site you are after then we suggest you look elsewhere.
How do I Change the Layout of my datespace?
One of the great features of Wherejackmetjill is the ability it gives you to create a unique space to display your profile. Changing the layout of your Datespace couldn’t be easier.
- Each box on your Datespace can be moved around and positioned anywhere on the page and in any order. It’s up to you.
- Click and hold on the ‘Drag and Drop’ icon in the top left of the box you wish to move.
- Using the mouse you can drag the box until it snaps into the desired position.
- There is no need to save the page, you can preview how any changes will look by clicking on ‘preview Datespace’ This is exactly how others will see you on WJMJ.
How do I change the colours on my Datespace?
Your taste in colours can say an awful lot about you. WJMJ offers the chance to decorate your Datespace with your favourite colours to best reflect your personality.
- Clicking on “Edit look” in the top right hand side of the box whose colour you wish to change will bring up a ‘colour picker’
- By clicking on the slider to the right of the colour picker you can select a colour
- By clicking on the white dot within the spectrum you can select the shade or variant of this colour.
- You can see what this will look like by clicking ‘Preview Datespace’ at anytime.
- You can make all your boxes the same colour by clicking ‘Apply all’ or you can choose different colours to emphasise different panels
What’s Your Background?
The Possibilities are endless. We are so excited to see what you guys come up with. You don’t have to stop at a simple photograph or just changing the colour.

Here’s where you can really make your Datespace look amazing. You can upload a picture in the form of a jpeg (and other formats) which will really make your Datespace stand out and attract attention.
- Click upload background image
- You will automatically open a browser from which you can upload images saved in your computer.
- Double click the icon or highlight the file and click choose. The image will then begin to upload as your Datespace.
Is online dating safe?
If we ever meet strangers in pubs, clubs, bus stops, street theatres, sea lion parks or the like we should always be aware of our own personal safety. Without wanting to sound like your dear old mum we should simply use our common sense.

What if I am offended by something I have seen?
Here at WJMJ we want to protect our members.
We are on hand to give advice on how to create a Datespace.
We will check every newly designed or amended ‘Datespace’ to see that you haven’t accidentally popped any personal details on there by mistake or perhaps inadvertently written something that others may find offensive.
We make sure your content will not contradict the desired tone of the site. WJMJ allows you a lot more freedom than other sites, offering you, the user greater control. We hope that as well as being vigilant with user content, our members will report any abuse of the site’s Terms and Conditions.
This means telling tales if;
- You see pornographic imagery of any kind.
- Anyone tries to solicit contact outside WJMJ without exchanging messages first.

What is the Comments feature?
The Comments feature is truly amazing and you can really have fun with it .This feature is only available to subscribers. You can subscribe here and take full advantage of being able to post comments on your friends Datespace. Alternatively you can use it to flirt with someone you like.
Our comments feature can be used in several great ways.
- Join with a friend and leave a glowing remark on their ‘Datespace’ telling people what a great person they are, write something that they might be too shy to write themselves.
- If you see someone that your friend might like, simply tell that certain someone to check out their profile. You can do this by leaving a comment on his or her Datespace. Think of it like the classic ‘My friend fancies you’ type scenario
- Flirt with someone by leaving a cheeky comment. ‘Hey nice picture’ or ‘love your datespace’ that sort of thing.
- Don’t be too concerned if someone leaves something you don’t like. You can pick and choose the comments you display on your Datespace.
Will I be informed if there is any response to my Datespace?
We know you are eager beavers and rightfully so, Internet dating is tremendous fun.
At WJMJ you can choose the level of information you receive very simply from your Datespace page. Via ‘My account’ you can check the box and turn off the e-mail.
topWill someone know if I added them to my Hotlist?
That’s the good bit, adding people to your hotlist is a way of letting someone know you are interested. You will be notified via your personal E-mail address if someone has made contact or added you to their Hotlist. You need to know, this could be the start of something great.
topWill I be informed when my subscription is running out?
WJMJ will not bombard you with registration propaganda, however, you will be informed when your subscription is nearly at an end and you will be offered the opportunity to renew it.
topWhy has my account been suspended
There are a number of reasons why you would be suspended from using WJMJ. If you have received an e-mail alerting you that your account has been suspended or deleted it will no doubt be because you have done something cheeky and breached the Terms and conditions of the site. You can view the terms and conditions here. Some of the more common reasons however are because;
- Member has posted their contact details, E-mail address, Telephone number etc.
- Member has written something that has been deemed abusive by other users or WJMJ.
- Member’s photographs are of a sexual nature or WJMJ have deemed them contrary to the desired tone of this site.
If you are suspended from using the site you will be reinstated providing you adhere to the terms and conditions
topWhy has my profile been removed?
It may be the case that, due to excessive misuse of the site your profile was removed. WJMJ does not have to give warning and does not offer any money back.
topHow can I send Feedback?

topAre you planning to leave the site?
We think the only reason you would want to remove your Datespace from our beautiful site is that have you met your ideal match. Unlike some other sites you can simply click the ‘delete Datespace’ button found in ‘My Account’ and it will be gone forever. If you are unhappy with the site, for whatever reason, we welcome and encourage feedback. However, because you can try the site for free before upgrading it is not our policy to offer refunds. Do contact us though and let us know your concerns.
topWhose idea was it anyway?
Wherejackmetjill was the brainchild of 30-year-old Hull boy now living in London, Peter Fox. Pete had won a year’s subscription to a now rival site back at his works Christmas party in 2005. After seeing how much fun online dating could be he thought that perhaps he could create a site that offered a bit more, maybe a way of getting much more of your personality across. Pete gathered a posse of willing investors mainly his old dad and best mate. (Thanks you guys) he then set about its construction.
Pete was fortunate enough to run into Catch Digital and Parker Fox whom, without their knowledge and expertise absolutely none of this would have been vaguely possible and it would still just be an idea in a notebook. In 2006 Pete formed the company TinyPete Ltd. and commissioned wherejackmetjill.com, the rest they say is history and here we are….
